AW Mortier Farms is proud to have been supplying the British fresh produce market for over 50 years. The business comprises of 6,000 acres of arable land and has 1,500 acres of heathland, marshes and grassland.
2,700 acres of farmland embraces schemes including HLS and ESA, running alongside in-house conservation projects, such as mixed flora bumblebee strips and extensive hedge planting. As well as working with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust on farmland at Sizewell maintaining valuable natural habitats, the farm is proud to have 75 acres of Saltings within SSSI status at Boyton on the River Ore, this provides ideal nesting habitats for shorebirds. In conjunction with Farm 2 Form, AW Mortier participates in educating school children about agriculture and food production. AW Mortier Farms is actively involved in local projects, such as the rebuilding and repairing of sea and river walls and defences, safeguarding the landscape and communities of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. AW Mortier Farms is the largest UK grower of Turnips. Due to the nature of this crop it is managed and marketed under AW Mortier's own farm brand. |
