Poly Parsnips

We grow  approximately 2,000t of parsnips grown under polythene to supply the UK supermarket and processing industry.

Due to our warm coastal climate, our crop is often the first in the UK, providing a lower cost option to customers.

We have a bespoke parsnip harvester that was supported with Producer Organisation funding.  It is "positive select", ensuring the only crop within specification is sent to our customer.  Therefore ensuring that costly haulage is reduced and packouts are maximised.

Maincrop parsnips

Due to the nature of our black sands, we are capable of harvesting in the worst of weather conditions. this provides a security of supply to our customers. 

We produce approximately 1,800t of crop the UK packing and processing industry.  

Suffolk Produce is often used as a contingency grower, ensuring that when parsnips are a must have (usually on the run up to Christmas), we deliver, no matter how bad the weather!
